After a successful Buena Vista Community Theatre production of "The Sound of Music" in 2001, staged at the Roxy Theatre in Alta, Iowa, several involved in that show formed this troupe to provide a performance venue for some of the talent in the area, as well as to raise funds for the community theatre. With hopes of booking four or five shows, the group completed that season in August, having performed twenty-six shows. Now nine years later - and with a variety of shows produced - the group is going as strong as ever and has performed over 150 energetic and engaging performances.

Everyone involved with the group volunteers their time and talents: all proceeds generated from their performances goes for equipment, costumes, & expenses, as well as donations to the community theatre.  Many of their performances are for private parties and celebrations, which have taken the popular group to 12 counties in Northwest Iowa.  The title of the 2009-2010 show is: ASPECTS OF LOVE; LOVE AT THE MOVIES .
